3 Days 2 Nights in the Mekong Delta – A Slow Journey From Ho Chi Minh City

Most travelers rush through the south, but the Mekong Delta reveals its beauty only to those who slow down.
This 3-day journey begins from the busy streets of Ho Chi Minh City and leads you gently into the quiet waterways, green paths, and local life of the Mekong Delta.

Here’s the story your guests will live.

Day 1 – From the City to the Coconut Land (Bến Tre Day Tour)

Your journey begins at 7:30–8:00 AM. We pick you up in Ho Chi Minh City, and just a few hours later, the scenery changes — tall buildings fade, replaced by rows of coconut trees and wide, peaceful rivers in Bến Tre.

A Day on the River – Slow, Local, Refreshing

Upon arrival at Bến Tre port, you board your private boat and your Mekong story begins:
• Drift along the river on a private boat
• Taste fresh local fruits & cakes
• Try hands-on fishing with local fishermen
• Visit a handmade chocolate workshop
• Taste coconut sprout & coconut candy
• Enjoy lunch in a fruit garden
• Explore the village by bicycle or tuk-tuk
• Visit a family making traditional handwoven mattresses
• Stop by a brick kiln — a disappearing craft

By around 3:00 PM, you arrive at Mương Đình Lodge, your home for the next two nights, tucked between garden paths and quiet canals.

A soft, peaceful evening welcomes you — the river breeze, the sound of nature, and a slower rhythm of life.

Day 2 – Floating Market, Sunrise & Secret Canals

Wake up before dawn for one of the Delta’s most poetic scenes.

Floating Market & Breakfast on the River

At 5:30 AM, you board the boat directly from the lodge:
• Visit a traditional floating market
• Enjoy breakfast, coffee & fresh fruit right on the boat
• Visit a noodle-making village
• Wander a local fruit garden
• If the sky blesses you — witness sunrise on the gentle Xà No canal

The Hidden Canals – Pure Mekong Magic

You continue deeper into smaller waterways:
• Bat barn
• Bamboo bridge
• Coconut-water fruit garden
• Quiet local villages

A part of the Delta that few tourists ever see.
(4–5 hours total)

Afternoon – Into the Green Paths (Rừng sinh thái – Eco Reserve)

Start at 1:00 PM. A 45-minute drive takes you to a natural reserve where forest, rice fields, and waterways paint the landscape.

A Nature Journey Through Green Waterpaths

• Explore the flora & fauna by boat
• Admire the reserve from the high observation tower
• Take photos beside vast, open rice fields

A Visit to a Living Craft Village

On the way back:
• Stop by a charcoal-making village or a basket-weaving village
• Learn stories from families who have kept these crafts alive for over 40 years

A Heartfelt Final Stop – Fruit Garden of Ms. Duyên

Meet Ms. Duyên — a city woman who chose to return to nature.
Her garden is a love letter to the land: green, clean, sustainable, and filled with fruits grown with quiet dedication.

(5–6 hours total)

Day 3 – Slow Morning & Farewell Mekong

Take the morning slowly.
Walk through the garden, listen to the canal flowing, breathe in the countryside air.
After breakfast, it’s time to return — bringing with you stories, flavors, and memories that feel like home.

This Is Not Just a Tour — It’s a 3-Day Story of the Mekong Delta

A journey where city life fades, and the river teaches you how to slow down.
Where every canal, every craft village, every local flavor has a soul and a story.
And where you don’t just visit — you belong for a little while.
