Sampan excursion through the nipa-palm canals

A guided wooden sampan carries you from the lodge into the narrow canals, where nipa palms close overhead and the heavy river traffic never reaches.

The canals behind the lodge are too narrow for the barges and ferries that work the main river. The water stays still, sound carries a long way across it, and for most of the ride a roof of nipa palm keeps the sun off.

What is included
